Fez — “Bleach” is approaching the end of its television run as “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity” moves deeper into its final cour.
VIZ Media announced that the concluding installment premiered on July 25, with new episodes streaming on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ in select international markets.
The official “Bleach” website also lists the series for weekly Saturday broadcasts on TV Tokyo and affiliated Japanese networks.
The story has now reached Episode 46, titled “THE END.” The official episode page describes Ichigo facing a transformed world while Uryu Ishida and Jugram Haschwalth’s battle approaches its conclusion.
A story more than two decades in the making
The coming conclusion carries particular weight for viewers who have followed “Bleach” since its original television debut.
The franchise’s official website recounts that the original anime aired from October 2004 until March 2012 and was accompanied by four theatrical films.
Based on Tite Kubo’s manga, the story follows Ichigo Kurosaki after he gains the powers of a Soul Reaper and becomes drawn into conflicts connecting the human world, Soul Society, and other supernatural realms.
The anime initially ended before adapting the manga’s concluding storyline. That changed when “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War” premiered in 2022, beginning the long-awaited adaptation of the final arc.

Ichigo’s final battle reaches its climax
“The Calamity” is centered on the last struggle between the Soul Reapers and Yhwach’s Quincy forces, with the survival of the Three Worlds hanging over the conflict.
VIZ Media describes the final installment as the stage where the Thousand-Year Blood War approaches its end, as Ichigo and his allies fight to prevent the collapse of the worlds.
The series has also given longtime viewers another opportunity to return to characters who became part of anime’s international expansion during the 2000s.
Alongside “Naruto” and “One Piece,” “Bleach” became one of the defining shonen franchises of its generation, building an audience that has followed Ichigo for more than 20 years.
As the remaining episodes bring that story toward its conclusion, the end of “Bleach” will represent more than the close of another anime season. It will mark the final television chapter of a series that helped shape a generation of global anime fandom.
