Rabat – The first edition of the Art’Expo Morocco exhibition kicked off Thursday, March 24 in Paris under the theme “Morocco, the land of cultures and art”.
Painters, photographers, writers, and designers from Morocco and all over the world are participating in the event organized by Art’Expo Morocco and the Dar Al Maghrib Foundation.
The founder of the association Art’Ecpo Morocco Sabah Zakhnini presented a multitude of Moroccan cultural and artistic heritage. In her opening speech, Zakhnini expressed her gratitude to King Mohammed VI for supporting culture and arts and protecting Morocco’s heritage.
Radouane Bachiri, director of the Extension Communication agency and co-organizer of the event, highlighted the exceptional program the exhibition offers, reflecting the organizers’ dedication to sharing and preserving the diverse and rich culture of Morocco.
Walid Rammal, political adviser at the Moroccan embassy in Paris, stressed that Art’Expo Morocco’s first edition allows visitors to discover rich Moroccan art and culture through paintings, photos, seminars, and Kaftan shows.
The three-day event includes an exhibition of the works of Moroccan painter Nadia Chellaoui and Senegalese painter Abdallah Diallo. Both artists welcomed this event that pays tribute to African culture and art.
The opening ceremony of the event marked the presence of prominent figures in culture, art, and business, such as the president of the Arab World Institute in Paris Jack Lang and the Consul General of Morocco in Paris Mustapha El Bouazzaoui.
Albert Elharrar, president of the Jewish Community of Creteil also attended the event. He stressed the strong relationship Jews have with Morocco, highlighting the representation of Hebrew culture in the event as a part of the Moroccan diverse identity.
The Art’Expo Morocco will tour other cities around the world, which will be announced later, to promote and introduce the countries’ cultural assets.
