Rabat – British-Moroccan actress Laila Rouass has launched her WholeAndThenSome platform to promote happiness and well-being and assist her followers to maintain a balanced lifestyle.
Rouass has worked on the platform’s launch during the past two years, she said in the Capsule podcast.
“After years of disliking my body and not feeling fulfilled or even happy, I realized that I, and only I, could make the emotional change needed,” the actress said.
In search of happiness, Rouass pursued last year a Yale University course on the science of happiness.
Focusing on the science of well-being, the Moroccan-British actress realized that happiness is attainable if the person works daily and constantly on attaining his or her personal goals by breaking them into small and tangible achievements.

“I believe we can all reframe our life so that we pull from it what feeds us most,” she stressed. “You cannot just sit down and manifest. It does not work like that.”
Rouass further noted that self-compassion is key in the well-being journey, noting that “without compassion for oneself, self-abuse takes on a strength that becomes overwhelming and difficult to control.”
Self-compassion was notably the focus of her latest workshop on Sunday, June 12. Rouass has sold out numerous workshops before, covering topics such as age in power, happiness after COVID, and happiness hacks.
While her first workshop was for free, the later ones were offered at different prices ranging from £15.00 to £35.00.
