Rabat- Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred and his wife Ghita El Allaki are set to hold a second wedding ceremony in Rabat next November. The couple tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in Paris last September.
Lamjarred shared pictures documenting his private wedding, which was attended by the couple’s closest friends, on social media. The newlyweds intend to have a second traditional Moroccan wedding ceremony for family, friends, and fans of the singer.
Le360 reported “sources close to Saad Lamjarred” as confirming that Lamjarred and El Allaki’s wedding will take place in the first half of November in Rabat.
The same sources have revealed that “the wedding preparations are currently in full swing, as the ceremony will be held in a traditional Moroccan way.”
Nezha Regragui, famous Moroccan actress and mother of Lamjarred also confirmed the news to TV channel ET Arabic.
She said that El Allaki has been a close friend of Lamjarred for a long time and that she has known her for 15 years, and believes that her son “is in safe hands with her.”
The young singer has a history of sexual harassment claims. The first case occurred in 2016, when a French woman named Laura Prioul accused Lamjarred of raping her.
Lamajarred was held in custody at a French hotel for six months while awaiting trial. In 2017, he was granted bail and released.
The singer was detained once more in September 2018 on charges of sexual misconduct before being released later that year.
Some of the singer’s family members and close friends described his wife as a good and devoted friend who provided him with “support and comfort” during a difficult period of his life when he was faced with sexual harassment allegations
