Rabat- A new FIFA World Cup song called Tahayya (Get Ready) features international artist Maher Zain and Kuwaiti singer Humood. The song, which promotes unity in cultural diversity, is produced by the Islamic music record label Awakening Music.

The newly released song also features FIFA World Cup Ambassador Ghanim al-Muftah in the video as he places his hand on his heart and sings along with the tune. Other football stars and famous faces appear in the video including former Liverpool player John Barnes among others.

According to the production team, the music video was shot over three days in Doha across iconic locations to “reflect the region’s culture, heritage, and spirit.”

The video is directed by Hamzah Jamjoom and powered by The Islam and Muslims Initiative (IMI). The energetic video promotes the unity of the country as they pass a ball and wave flags through Doha’s landscapes gathering a crowd who join in song as they go, ultimately arriving outside the stadium.

This year’s spectacular FIFA World Cup opening ceremony also called for peace and unity among cultures. It began with a performance celebrating Qatar’s tradition, culture, and history.

The ceremony was marked by a surprise appearance from American actor Morgan Freeman, who delivered a speech attempting to unite Arab and Western cultures.

“What unites us is greater than what divides us. We are one big tribe and the Earth is our tent. Together we can make the call for everyone to unite,” Freeman said.

The opening ceremony also featured lead vocalists of K-pop group BTS Jungkook, and Fahad Al Kubaisi.
