Rabat – English and Albanian singer-songwriter Dua Lipa is the star of Yves Saint Laurent Beauty’s fragrance commercial, which was recently shot in Morocco.
The pop star posted a series of photos from the shoot on her Instagram yesterday along with the caption, “Spent a couple days out in Morocco with my @yslbeauty family filming the new #LIBRE campaign!! Excited for you all to see this one.”
The photos featured a stunning riad and scenes of beautiful landscapes, leading fans to speculate that she is in Morocco’s red city, Marrakech.

It’s only natural that Yves Saint Laurent Beauty’s Libre perfume was shot in Morocco, given that many of its ingredients are sourced from the North African country.

The perfume’s ingredients contain saffron accord from the YSL Beauty Ourika community garden, as well as orange blossom grown in Morocco.
Marrakech is home to the famous and award-winning Yves Saint Laurent Museum, which was designed by Karl Fournier and Oliver Marty. The museum honors the life and work of French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent.
The Yves Saint Laurent Museum received two awards in 2018: “Best New Public Building” from British magazine Wallpaper and the French Export Architects (AFEX) award.
Additionally, Architectural Digest featured the Yves Saint Laurent Museum among the eleven most influential buildings of 2017.
The red city is a favorite filming location for many ad campaigns. Soft drinks manufacturer Pepsi chose Marrakech to film its advertising campaign for the 2022 world cup.
The Iberian ready-to-wear brand Mango has featured the Atlas Mountains as a setting for “Beyond the Mirror,” its 2017 advertising campaign.
