Rabat – The 75 Hard Challenge was initiated by entrepreneur Andy Frisella in 2019, who is known as a podcaster and serves as CEO of the supplement company 1st Phorm.
What is the 75-Day Hard Challenge?
On the program’s website, it is described as more than just a fitness challenge; it’s hailed as a “transformative mental toughness program.”
After an interview with James Lawrence, known as the Iron Cowboy for finishing 50 Ironman races in 50 days in all 50 states, Frisella came up with the idea for 75 Hard.
Lawrence stressed to Frisella the need to purposefully put oneself in difficult circumstances in order to develop mental toughness, which subsequently inspired the creation of this controversial challenge.
The introductory email for the program states that participants in 75 Hard must follow this daily schedule for 75 days straight:

Double Trouble Workouts: get ready to sweat it out twice a day, during two 45-minute workout sessions daily, one of which must take place outdoors.

Diet Discipline: you must follow a planned diet that is intended to help you get physically well; alcohol and diet variations are not allowed.

Hydration Station: a gallon of water is yours to drink every day.

Mind Muscle: Exercise isn’t just for the body, it’s for the mind too. You must read ten pages from a book; audiobooks are not permitted.

Progress Pictures: responsibility is key! Every day, participants are invited to snap a progress picture to record their trip and recognize their accomplishments along the way.
Sounds intense, right? Well, that’s because it is.
Furthermore, breaking any of these rules causes one’s progress to be reset to day one, and program alterations are not allowed.
