Meridien Hotel, Marrakech

Running from February 13 to March 30, this exhibition promises an immersive experience for art enthusiasts and curious minds alike.

A native of Paris, Patricia Lenfant was drawn to Morocco more than 25 years ago and chose to establish her permanent residence in the city of Mohammedia.

With a rich background in the arts, honed through years as a cinema makeup artist and later as a trendsetting stylist for national fashion and décor magazines, Lenfant effortlessly transitioned into the realm of painting and graphic design.

Fifteen years ago, she debuted her first series of paintings, “The White Negresses,” showcased in prestigious venues across Morocco.

The collection garnered exceptional acclaim from the art community, lauding Lenfant’s ability to immerse herself fully in a vibrant, pop-inspired universe, crafting original pieces.

One of her most well-known pieces is “The Suspects,” which has a recurring figure that she paints in a variety of graphic styles throughout her canvases.

Lenfant’s technique is distinctly personal, characterized by its raw spontaneity, devoid of any preliminary sketches.

She relies heavily on symmetry to give her compositions a feeling of coherence.

“Far more than just therapy, it’s my avenue of expression and my outlet for confronting all my woes,” Lenfant said in a recent interview with la Tribune de Marrakech.

Lenfant’s art communicates directly with the audience by encapsulating feelings that are momentarily frozen and making sure that every brushstroke has a tremendous effect on the viewer.
