Rabat – The Moroccan city of Marrakech hosted on February 10 prominent luxury companies as part of the Luxury Network awards, the country’s top affinity marketing and business networking event.

Held at the city’s Palais des Festivals, the Luxury Network awards event brought together upscale companies to work closely together to promote consumer and company development.

The event was attended by representatives from several leading luxury companies, such as Aston Martin, Arreda Luxury Design, Bellaflora, ChessYes, and Lamborghini.

On the sidelines of the event, Fares Ghattas, Global CEO of the Luxury Network International spoke to Morocco World News about the goal and significance of the ceremony. According to Ghattas, the awards presented during the event provided a chance to honor the “creme de la creme” of Moroccan business.

“We are here at the Palais de Congres to celebrate the Luxury Network International Awards 2024,” said, stressing: “We have the creme de la creme of Moroccan society and we are going to give very nice business luxury awards.”

Regarding the event’s goal, the luxury enthusiast wrote on his official website that his team’s objectives are to establish successful platforms that open up new business opportunities for the clientele, honor reputable businesses, and recognize up-and-coming luxury brands.

With over a decade of experience in the luxury industry, Ghattas has developed several effective marketing plans for international premium companies around the world to drive sales.

In addition to forging alliances with the world’s most prominent luxury companies, Ghattas’ organization also employs a team of experts in high-end luxury industries, including finance, real estate, nautical, motorsport, health and beauty, entertainment, jewelry and watches, and fashion.

As of 2010, the Lebanese entrepreneur is also a long-term partner of Media Consulta (MC Group) and together they design integrated campaigns tailored to the needs of various clients, mainly from Qatar and Turkey.

In addition, he has previously been named Head of Mission Middle East for the Diplomatic Council. The United Nations (UN) has bestowed to the Diplomatic Council the highest status possible for a non-governmental organization (NGO).

Fares Ghattas’ beginnings

After earning a business management degree from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Ghattas took control of Diver for Property Development, his father’s real estate development company. 

He renamed the company FGRealty and directed its focus on property management and real estate brokerage. Ghattas currently serves as the CEO of FGRealty, which has operations in Qatar and Lebanon.

In 2005, he relocated from Lebanon to Qatar, where he established himself in the real estate industry. He was widely recognized for being able to locate  opulent properties. Ever since, his passion for all things luxurious has grown.

In 2016, he received the title of “Goodwill Ambassador” from the United Nations Economic and Social Council, in recognition of his philanthropic work and efforts to eradicate global hunger. 

Ghattas has launched a number of ventures, including the Luxury Network Academy, the Luxury Network International Magazine, and the Luxury Network Summit.

The Luxury Network Academy is the world’s first luxury-focused e-learning platform. According to Ghattas, its ambition and philosophy is to make it possible for anyone who wishes to become part of the expanding luxury industry to gain experience and knowledge from the world’s top luxury experts community. 

The Lebanese serial entrepreneur has risen to prominence in recent years as he has been interviewed by several notable publications, including the Robb Report, the BBC, Contour of Luxury Magazine, Q-Business Magazine, and Alem Magazine.

Other publications have also applauded Ghattas’ success story, including Harayer, Blerrp, Arabian Gazette, Gulftimes, Horizon & Beyond Magazine, among many others.

Notably, Q-Business Magazine has described him as “brilliant and one of the most interesting people working in the luxury business.”

In an interview in 2021, Ghattas explained that his venture goes beyond the luxury field to embrace a wide range of services. In particular, he said, it covers banking, real estate, hotels, luxury products, and other premium services.

He notably recalled the origins of his decision to move into the luxury industry, stating, “I was working in the luxury Real Estate market between Qatar and Dubai and had noticed that there were a lot of connections, especially in the Middle East, between luxury brands, sponsorships, and financial companies. And so, I wanted to get into a line of work that reflected this back into the industry.”
