Since his early years, Abdesselam El Alami has immersed himself in the exceptional realm of genuine Moroccan traditions, where the exceptional elegance of traditional Moroccan art reigns.
In 1998, he made the decision to launch the premium craft product manufacturing and marketing company Bab Moulay Idriss. The company now operates both domestically and abroad.
In an interview, El Alami said that this domain was inherited from his forefathers, and that almost half of his family members are involved in the same domain.
In the same year of founding his business, El Alami headed to Casablanca to showcase his products for the first time at an international exposition. Gladly, the Casablanca locals approved of the idea.

In 2003, El Alami decided to open a store in Casablanca because of high demand for his products, and the inability of his clients to travel all the way to Fez.
After a period of time, more customers came from different cities across the Kingdom to buy his products. Twenty years later, Bab Moulay Idriss began producing its own goods and began drawing attention from all around the world.
Many of Bab Moulay Idriss’s clients have since stopped buying other perfume brands in favor of the scent of their Moroccan ancestry. El Alami underlined that the ultimate goal is to introduce more people to the Moroccan heritage.
