Rabat – Wearing a Moroccan football jersey: this is how Vinicius JR decided to announce his visit to Morocco’s Marrakech.
The Real Madrid superstar posted a picture in the middle of the desert adjacent to the red-washed city, where he enjoys a brief holiday and experiencing the country’s warmth and sunny weather.
With a short caption, “Marrakech,” Vinicius shared different pictures of his visit to the famous Moroccan city, where sunset looks mesmerizing.
In addition to the vacation vibes of his stay in the beating heart of Moroccan tourism, the UNESCO Goodwill ambassador for Education for All also decided to visit a secondary school in Marrakech.
The UN specialized agency thanked the football player with a heartwarming caption, expressing to the player its gratitude for “creating such a memorable moment for the kids” and “continuously championing UNESCO’s mission.”

Vinicius is not the first Real Madrid star to have visited Marrakech in recent weeks.
Last month, Spanish-Moroccan football star Brahim Diaz also enjoyed a brief holiday in the world-famous Moroccan city. Diaz’s vacation in the red city, where he was spotted taking photos with locals, flooded social media.
On Monday this week, PSG star and former Real Madrid player Marco Asensio also shared on his Instagram a story documenting his visit to Marrakech along with his wife. In his post, Asensio notably shared the photo from the Majorelle Garden’s Blue House.
Morocco welcomed more than 14 million tourists last year, attracting both celebrities and ordinary visitors. As its tourism sector bounces back from the COVID hiatus, Morocco now aims to to attract 17 million visitors by 2026.
