Rabat – Visited, a popular travel application, ranked Morocco’s Marrakech among the top 25 “wonders of the world” to visit.
The application listed Marrakech 22nd on the list, recalling the “Red City’s”imperial and magnificent vibes.
“Marrakech is a Moroccan city with a rich history and plenty of luxury attractions like palaces, spas, and five-star restaurants,” Visited said.
It also recalled the old medina’s inclusion as a UNESCO World Heritage as well as its attractive atmosphere, attracting travelers from across the world.
“Teaming with palaces, markets, and mosques, the medina offers magnificent views and cultural experiences. Marrakech also entices luxury travelers with its traditional Moroccan baths, Hammams, and opulent luxury hotels,” the source added.
Morocco’s tourism assets attract the attention of many publications and renowned magazines that highlight the charming atmosphere of Marrakech and other cities attracting millions of tourists annually.
In December 2023, Morocco’s red city Marrakech continued to impress the world, ranking on Airbnb’s list of must-visit destinations for 2023, the only Arab and African city to do so.
Airbnb said that it has “shaken the magic eight ball” to unveil the best destinations holiday travelers would choose to visit, during prime times including the New Year period.
The online platform also included Marrakech in the list of the top 10 African destinations for business travel, highlighting the city as a “thriving tourist destination” that attracts researchers and business executives for its “rich culture and history.”
In 2023, Morocco attracted over 14 million tourists. The North Africa country seeks to welcome 17.5 million tourists by 2026 and 28 million visitors by 2023.
