Rabat – Moroccan football star Achraf Hakimi has addressed on social media the allegations of betrayal made by his ex-wife Hiba Abouk.
“Trust half of what you see, none of what you don’t,” Hakimi wrote on his Instagram story, in response to remarks made by his ex-wife over their separation.
In an interview with AS news outlet, the actress accused the Moroccan football player of betrayal saying that “disloyalty” kills love.
She said that the year following the separation was the “hardest of her life.”
“But it was. There were very tough times… It was a very difficult decision for me because I left everything for my family. I left my husband, went back to my career, went back to Madrid, and I’m coming back to live,” she told AS.
Last March, Abouk announced her separation from the Paris Saint-Germain star via Instagram, revealing that they no longer reside together as they await divorce proceedings.
The separation came amid reports, linking Hakimi to alleged rape charges after a woman filed a complaint against the Moroccan football player in France.
Hakimi denied the rape allegations and said he is “confident of his innocence,” Spanish news outlet Marca reported last year.
