Marrakesh – The 24th Black Entertainment Television Awards (BET) lit up the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on June 30, 2024, spotlighting excellence in entertainment across music, sports, television, and film.
This year, the event was hosted by actress Taraji P. Henson, marking her third stint as master of ceremonies.
The event night kicked off with Tyla claiming the spotlight by winning two prestigious awards; Best International Act and Best New Artist.
Later in the evening, Usher was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award and also took home the title of Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.
Meanwhile, although absent from the ceremony, SZA was recognized as the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist.
The accolades continued as Killer Mike’s album “Michael” was celebrated as Album of the Year.
Monét had a standout evening, securing both the BET Her Award and Video of the Year for her impactful work on “On My Mama.”
Additionally, Regina King, despite her absence, was acknowledged with the title of Best Actress.
The night was a celebration of talent and achievement across various genres and mediums within the entertainment industry.

The lineup showcased talents such as GloRilla, Ice Spice, Latto, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Tanner Adell, Tyla, and Victoria Monét. Also included were YG Marley, Sexyy Red, Muni Long, Shaboozey, Chlöe, Coco Jones, Keke Palmer, Marsha Ambrosius, and Summer Walker, each bringing their unique flair to the stage and contributing to the evening’s vibrant atmosphere.
