Marrakech – Garena, the global gaming titan, has unveiled “Free Fire: The Battle of Morocco,” its first nationwide Free Fire esports tournament in Morocco.
This groundbreaking event marks Garena’s debut offline tournament in the country, a significant milestone for the local esports scene.
Over three thrilling weeks, players from across Morocco will come together to compete for glory and a slice of the MAD 100,000 prize pool, the event’s organizers said in a press release shared with Morocco World News.
Kicking off with online Group Qualifiers on August 5, the tournament will reach its climax with an electrifying offline Grand Finals in Casablanca on August 24, 2024.
The winner will not only claim the title of the champion of “Free Fire: Battle of Morocco,” but will also earn recognition for their skill and dedication in the world’s favorite battle royale game.

Pradipta added that the surge of interest highlights the fierce passion Moroccan youth have for esports, and Garena is dedicated to nurturing this talent and offering a stage for them to excel.
From August 5-9, the Group Qualifiers will pit teams in a thrilling best-of-four Battle Royale format.
The top 20 teams from this stage will advance to the Playoffs, where the competition will reach new heights.
Scheduled for August 16-17, 2024, the Playoffs will showcase the top 20 teams from the qualifiers alongside four elite Moroccan teams: Wask Team, the Free Fire MEA League Season 7 champion and Free Fire World Series 2023 representative, Winners Esports, Fight Night, and Top 12, a prominent professional team with a history in major Free Fire MEA events, including the recent Free Fire MEA Mid Season Clash.
The 24 teams will be split into two groups of twelve, battling it out online in a series of four-round Battle Royale matches.

Only the top 6 teams from each group will make it to the Grand Finals.
Casablanca, celebrated for its vibrant culture and rich history, will be the stage for the Grand Finals on August 24, 2024, noted the press release.
This live event promises an electrifying spectacle, drawing thousands of fans and players. With free admission, it offers an inclusive atmosphere for the community to unite and celebrate the excitement of esports.
The organizers stated that the Battle of Morocco was open from July 13-20, 2024, and the response has been nothing short of extraordinary, with over 10,000 players signing up.
