“I draw my inspiration from the cultural richness and architectural diversity of my country, especially from the old medina of Marrakech. I’ve tried to capture the essence of my heritage through the vibrant colors,” stated the artist in an interview with Morocco World News (MWN)..
“Those inspired by the medina’s rugs, the traditional zellij found in grandparents’ salons, and the classic Moroccan hues. These colors often appear in my paintings, also reflecting the shades of spices that are so integral to our culture, “ she added. The artwork mirrored the joy and excitement of those who attended, creating an experience that was as colorful and dynamic as Chahinaz’s creations themselves.
