In a world where innovation drives progress, recognition from global institutions can make all the difference.

Marrakech – The Islamic World Organization for Education, Science, and Culture (ICESCO) has earned the prestigious title of “Innovative Organization” from the Global Innovation Institute (GInI) in the United States.

Marked by the issuance of the “Organization Innovation Certificate (CInOrg),” this accolade highlights ICESCO’s significant contributions to fostering innovation and supporting youth in Islamic countries.

The exciting announcement of this award came during the opening session of the 3rd Conference of Education Ministers of ICESCO, held on October 2-3 in Muscat, Oman, in collaboration with the Omani Ministry of Education.

Salim M. AlMalik, the Director-General of ICESCO, expressed pride in the achievement, noting that the certification reflects the organization’s commitment to integrating innovation across all its initiatives.

From policy formulation to on-ground programs, he argued, ICESCO aims to drive sustainable development in its member states.

The rigorous evaluation process for this certification assessed ICESCO’s innovative policies, the execution of its programs, and their impact on member states. The assessment by GInI representatives confirmed that ICESCO meets the “Champion” level standards for the Organization Innovation Certificate (CInOrg).

In line with this achievement, ICESCO organized a five-day training session on the “Certified Innovation Professional” program, which benefitted 26 experts and staff members.

This training was designed to enhance skills in innovation management, covering essential modules on creativity techniques, effective brainstorming strategies, structured phases of innovative projects, and data utilization for informed decision-making.

The training also emphasized the critical roles of innovation managers in leading projects and building cohesive, creative teams.

With this recognition, ICESCO is poised to inspire further innovation in the educational and cultural sectors, cementing its role as a leader in fostering growth and development across the Islamic world.
