In a world where creativity meets opportunity, the excitement is palpable as emerging talents gear up to showcase their visions at Morocco’s 24th National Film Festival.

Marrakech – In a vibrant celebration of cinematic creativity, the Centre Cinématographique Marocain (CCM) has unveiled the exciting lineup for the fourth edition of its “Concours Pitch.”

This year, eight standout projects have been selected from a competitive pool of 30 entries, showcasing the rich tapestry of storytelling and artistic vision in Moroccan cinema.

Set against the backdrop of the 24th National Film Festival, the Pitch Competition will take place in the bustling city of Tangier from October 19 to 21, 2024.

This event promises to be a pivotal moment for filmmakers, offering them a platform to present their ideas to a panel of national and international industry experts.

The selected projects cover a diverse range of themes and narratives, reflecting the unique voices of their creators.

Among the standout titles is “Classe (Très) moyenne” by Reda Lahmouid, “Gouttes de pluie” by El Houssain Chani, and “La piste” by Mohcine Nadifi.

“Les Âmes suspendues” by Ayoub Lahnoud is also set to captivate viewers, alongside “Simeon Idriss” by Zineb Wakrim, Malika Zairi’s “Hayat (i),” Mohammed Hicham Regragui’s “Sur les traces d’Estevanico le Maure,” and “La Guerre de mon père” by Younes Jaddad.

The “Concours Pitch” not only allows these projects to shine but also offers filmmakers a chance to win substantial prizes, including the Grand Prize worth MAD 50,000, the Jury Prize at MAD 40,000, and the Screenplay Prize at MAD 30,000.

Such incentives are designed to encourage innovation and excellence within the Moroccan film industry.

As the date approaches, anticipation builds not only for the presentations but also for the rich array of professional meetings and workshops that will be announced shortly.
