Christian Mamoun dares to ask, “What’s real anymore?” And with AI in the mix, the answer might surprise you.

Casablanca – Christian Mamoun, a Paris-trained photographer, artist, and content creator, is here to challenge everything you thought you knew about images.

Mamoun’s new exhibition, “What Could Have Been,” blends stunning photography with cutting-edge artificial intelligence.

Think art, but make it futuristic.

Opening today at the Institut français de Casablanca, this show dives deep into the world of AI-generated visuals and their impact on how we see truth in art.

Running until December 31, this exhibition, as part of “Novembre Numérique,” is a unique celebration of digital creativity.

Meet the man of the hour

Christian Mamoun’s journey is a masterclass in creative evolution.

A graduate of the prestigious École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris, the visionary has worked with legends like Mario Testino and Luis Monteiro.

The artist’s collaborations include luxury brands like Kalista and Lancel, and iconic publications such as Paris Match and L’Officiel Maroc.

But Mamoun is not just about the glossy campaigns.

In 2019, his project “Home” won the “Un Certain Regard” award at the Nuits Photographiques d’Essaouira and gained international acclaim.

With past exhibitions like “I Want Him to Be Ocean,” Mamoun has consistently blurred the lines between art and emotion.

Oh, and did we mention he’s a social media star too? More on that later.

Art, but make it AI-generated

Let’s talk about “What Could Have Been.”

Mamoun combines AI-generated, photorealistic visuals with traditional digital photography, creating one-of-a-kind, manually printed masterpieces.

The result? A stunning series that questions the truth behind the images we consume every day.

By pushing the boundaries of what photography can be, Mamoun invites viewers to think twice about the images flooding their screens.

Are they real, or are they just “what could have been”?

Moroccan roots, global influence, and viral content

Christian Mamoun isn’t just an artist; he’s a storyteller who knows how to connect with people.

In 2023 alone, his Instagram content highlighting Moroccan culture through food, travel, and human connection racked up over 14 million views.

With 107,000+ followers, he’s proof that you can go global while staying true to your roots.

From mouthwatering dishes to heartwarming encounters, Mamoun’s work on social media bridges the gap between Morocco’s rich heritage and the modern, digital world.
