No need for a lead – Let me just say this: January is a strange beast.
Marrakech – Three days into the new year, and I’m already questioning my life choices — starting with why I thought it was a good idea to set seven resolutions.
Spoiler: none involve giving up chocolate.
The thing about these early January days is that they’re a cocktail of hope and chaos, shaken (not stirred) with a splash of “Oh my God, it’s 2025.”
You’re half trying to stick to your resolutions and half clinging to the comfort of last year’s habits.
Did I attempt yoga yesterday? Yes. Did I also eat leftover holiday cookies while scrolling through Instagram? Double yes. Balance, right?
The world feels both brand new and exactly the same. The emails are back, the gym is crowded, and everyone is talking about their “word for the year.”
Mine is “survive.” Yours? Let me guess?
Three days into 2025, and I’m realizing that maybe January isn’t about the resolutions.
Maybe it’s about the little things: the joy of fresh notebooks, the drama of forgetting your login passwords, the audacity of people texting “Happy New Year” on the 3rd.
So, dear reader, here’s to embracing the beautifully messy, still-hungover-from-December energy of January.
Let’s make it weird, wonderful, and unapologetically ours.
