Centuries-old secrets are being uncovered along a legendary route—here’s what we know so far.

Fez – Saudi Arabia has announced a new project called “On His Path,” which aims to recreate the historic journey of Prophet Muhammad’s migration from Mecca to Medina.

The project will restore key sites along the route and offer visitors an interactive experience of this important event in Islamic history.

The initiative was officially launched by Prince Salman bin Sultan, Governor of the Medina region, during a ceremony near Mount Uhud.

The route spans 470 kilometers, with 305 kilometers specifically designed for walking. The project is expected to accommodate up to 12,000 visitors daily.

A key part of the project is restoring 41 historical sites linked to the migration. Additionally, five interactive stations will highlight significant events from the journey.

A dedicated “Migration Museum” will also provide detailed information and historical insights.

To enhance the visitor experience, the project will feature eight main stations offering additional educational content.

It will also include over 30 restaurants and 50 shops to serve tourists and pilgrims.

According to Al-Arab, Prince Salman mentioned that the initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to preserving Islamic heritage.

“This project will help deepen historical understanding of the Prophet’s migration and its significance,” he said.

Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, stated that On His Path is part of a broader effort to document and share Islamic history with the world.

He noted that the project was carefully developed using verified historical sources to ensure accuracy.

The initiative has been created in collaboration with historical and government institutions to maintain authenticity. It is scheduled to officially open in November and will run for six months.

The project aims to offer an immersive learning experience by combining historical knowledge with modern infrastructure.

Visitors will have the opportunity to walk along the same path Prophet Muhammad took over 1,400 years ago while exploring significant landmarks.

By blending history with innovation, “On His Path” is set to become a major cultural and educational attraction, offering a deep and meaningful experience for visitors from around the world.
