Marrakech – So, here’s the scoop: Marlon Wayans just dropped a major hint that we might be getting a “White Chicks 2” — and honestly, could anything get us more excited?
At the 2025 NAACP Image Awards on February 22, he revealed that fans are still obsessed with the 2004 comedy more than two decades later.
“Every single day, [they asked] ‘When are you doing the sequel?'” Marlon said, and it looks like the time has finally come.
He added, “They love that movie. You know, I think it’s time. So, you know, let’s get ‘Scary Movie 6’ done, and then we’re gonna go bring out the ‘White Chicks 2.'”
Now, for those of you who somehow missed it, White Chicks follows two undercover FBI agents, played by Marlon and his brother Shawn Wayans, who botch a drug bust and end up posing as rich white women to solve a kidnapping case.
It’s an absolute cult classic, and it’s not just us who can’t stop quoting it.
Here’s the cherry on top: Marlon spilled the tea in July 2021 on Instagram, sharing that “White Chicks” was actually inspired by a magazine cover featuring Paris and Nicky Hilton.
Apparently, Shawn called him at 3 a.m. with the idea, and Marlon’s first response? “You high?”
But the next day, Shawn showed him the mag, and Marlon immediately saw the genius.
“We should play girls like this,” he said. Talk about a creative spark.
And in case you’re wondering, Marlon’s not just teasing — he’s been dropping hints for a while.
Back in June 2024, to mark the film’s 20th anniversary, he posted: “Happy 20th bday WHITE CHICKS. Hope to bring you all a sequel before she turns 25. BRANQUELES 2.”
So, what’s next? Well, Marlon promised that “Scary Movie 6” is up first, but after that, it’s all about “White Chicks 2.”
