Your heart will be beating a little faster as you slip into one of the most enchanting experiences the city has to offer.

Marrakech – On March 14 and 15, the L’Institut Français de Casablanca, in collaboration with Casamémoire, is bringing the “Nocturnes du Patrimoine” to life in a series of poetic readings and artistic performances that promise to sweep you off your feet.

The idea? To immerse the public in the rich, layered history of the city, but not in the way you’d expect.

No dusty, dry history lessons here — oh no, instead, we’re talking about a sensory journey through Casablanca’s most iconic spaces, where the past meets the present in the most exciting way.

The Mahkama du Pacha, the Ritz Cinema, and the Siège du Syndicat des Travailleurs Marocains — all dressed up in their historical glory — will serve as the stages for this unforgettable cultural experience.

Let’s dive into the magic, shall we?

At Mahkama du Pacha, the evening begins at 10 p.m., with Sanae Assif curating a selection of texts, her voice drawing you in like a spell.

Accompanied by the multi-talented Ismael Benfadel, whose music effortlessly blends tradition with modern flair, and the soaring vocals of Assif herself, this performance is more than just a reading — it’s a living, breathing piece of art.

Next up, we move to the Ritz Cinema at 10:30 p.m. (because who doesn’t love a late-night cultural date?)

Here, Selma Naguib will lead us through a curated set of texts that speak to the heart of Casablanca’s soul.

Expect to be transported by the haunting sounds of Tarik on the lute, the captivating voice of Ayoub Amrani, and a visual feast by artist Rebel Spirit.

It’s the perfect blend of poetry, music, and visual art, all unfolding against the backdrop of the iconic Ritz.

But the cherry on top? A performance at Maison de l’Union at 10:30 p.m., where Mouna Ouafik, a poetess and performer who knows how to touch hearts, will take you through her poignant, deeply emotional performance, “Porteuse d’allumettes dans le grand incendie.” Trust me, you’ll be holding your breath.

These events aren’t just about reading words — they’re about feeling them, hearing them, and living them.

It is a celebration of Casablanca’s architectural gems, but also a testament to how the city continues to evolve, intertwining its storied past with vibrant, contemporary artistic voices.

So, clear your calendar, grab a friend (or make a new one there), and join the magic that is Nocturnes du Patrimoine.

More than an event, this is a love letter to Casablanca, to poetry, to art, and to the timeless beauty that lives in both the city and the heart.
