News flash: this is not a love letter to the season.

Fez– Ah, spring. The season everyone raves about: the flowers, the sunshine, the promise of a fresh start. But let’s not pretend it’s all perfect.

While we’re all busy frolicking through fields of tulips and pretending to love nature, there are some harsh truths no one talks about.

What  to wear in the weather

Spring is the season of “I have no idea what to wear.” You step outside, thinking it’s going to be a warm, sunny day, and suddenly, the wind feels like it’s plotting against you.

You’ve traded in your winter coat for a cute jacket, and the universe laughs in your face. Halfway through your morning walk, you’re shivering like you just walked out of a freezer.

You try layering, but let’s be honest, that’s just a game of “How many clothes can I pile on without suffocating?” Spoiler alert: you lose every time.

The allergies

Welcome to the time of year when your nose becomes a river and your eyes are itchy enough to make you look like you’ve been through an emotional rollercoaster.

Pollen is a silent enemy, creeping into your life with no warning. You step outside for a quick breath of fresh air, and the next thing you know, you’re sneezing every five minutes like it’s a sport.

And don’t even get me started on the way your skin decides to revolt with every burst of springtime air. Dry patches? They’re in full bloom too.

The bees

Let’s talk about these little creatures that make spring feel like a horror movie.

You’re walking through a park, enjoying the fresh air, when suddenly, BAM! A bee has decided to make you its best friend.

You try to calmly walk away, but now it’s following you like it’s got something personal against you. The whole time, you’re just wondering, “Is this how I die?”

Expectations vs reality

Perhaps the most relatable struggle of all is the expectation to be productive. Spring is supposed to inspire you to get outside, start fresh, and be active.

But honestly, we all know what it really means. We’re all “trying” to love outdoor activities, pretending we enjoy picnics, and somehow making it seem like we’re actually hiking instead of simply walking around the block.

It’s like spring comes with a universal checklist: Must go on a hike, take 100 flower pictures, and start a garden that will inevitably die.

So, while everyone’s busy acting like spring is all sunshine and rainbows, let’s be real. It’s a season of surprises, sneezes, and unplanned fashion disasters.

But hey, it’s still worth it, because after all, who doesn’t love a good refreshing fresh start… even if it’s a little bit messy?
