Marrakech – Starting June 20, Casablanca Music Week (or CMW for the cool kids) is making its grand debut — and trust me, this isn’t just another festival with a stage and a food truck.

This is a statement. A love letter to music, yes, but also to cinema, gaming, sports, and all the things that make city life feel alive and surprising again.

The first thing you’ll probably hear about? The lineup.

Because when Shaggy, Wyclef Jean, Gims, Dadju, Tayc, and En Vogue are all heading to the same city in the same week… you clear your calendar.

Casablanca is about to sound a lot more global — and a lot more loud.

But between the concerts and the crowd surfing, something more subtle is happening.

CMW is also bringing us back to slower joys — movies under the stars.

The kind where you bring your own blanket, maybe a friend, maybe a crush, and let the soundtrack of a good film take over the night. It’s nostalgic. It’s cinematic. It’s kind of romantic.

And because we’re in 2025, of course there’s e-Gaming tournaments too — because let’s face it, culture today lives in pixels and punch combos just as much as it does in poetry and piano keys.

So whether you’re a FIFA fanatic or a casual Mario Kart trash-talker, there’s a controller with your name on it.

Now, if you’re someone who prefers to move rather than groove, CMW has your serotonin levels covered.

Open-air workouts, pick-up games, and spontaneous dance-offs are all on the menu.

Just bring sneakers. And maybe a water bottle. Okay, definitely a water bottle.

And here’s the part that truly warms my writer’s heart: in the middle of all this celebration, there’s also conversation.

Talks, panels, debates — real ones, not just tweetstorms — about the future of Casablanca as a creative, evolving city. It’s culture with a capital C. It’s fun with a purpose.

Oh, and did I mention the food court? Because what’s a perfect festival without snacks?

Expect a fusion of local bites and international street food. From bissara to bao buns — your taste buds will be just as entertained.

So if you’ve been looking for a reason to fall in love with Casablanca all over again — or for the first time — this is it.

Casablanca Music Week isn’t just something to attend. It’s something to live and experience..
