Marrakech – In April 2025, Lucy Guo, co-founder of Scale AI, unseated Taylor Swift as the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire, according to Forbes.

At 30 years old, Guo’s estimated net worth is $1.25 billion, primarily derived from her nearly 5% stake in Scale AI, a data-labeling company now valued at $25 billion.

Guo’s entrepreneurial journey began early; she taught herself programming as a child and co-founded Scale AI at age 21.

Although she departed from the company in 2018, her retained stake has significantly appreciated.

Currently based in Los Angeles, Guo also founded Passes, a platform aimed at helping social media influencers monetize their content more sustainably.

Taylor Swift, 35, previously held the title of youngest self-made female billionaire, achieving this status in 2023 through her music career, including the record-breaking Eras Tour and ownership of her music catalog.

As of June 2025, Forbes estimates her net worth at $1.6 billion.

Guo’s rise highlights the growing influence of women in technology and entrepreneurship, marking a significant shift in the landscape of self-made wealth.
