The inaugural Moroccan Interior Design Awards (MIDA) aim to propel Morocco’s fast‑growing interior architecture and design sector onto the global stage.

Marrakech – Morocco’s first Moroccan Interior Design Awards (MIDA) opened entries on 25 March, spotlighting the country’s booming interior architecture and design scene.

Organised by Casablanca‑based Archimedia Group, the biennial competition opened its call for entries on 25 March and promises to become a new benchmark for creative excellence in the kingdom. Archimedia says the Moroccan Interior Design Awards were conceived to recognise designers, interior architects, and makers who are redefining how Moroccans live and work. The event follows the publisher’s Young Moroccan Architecture Awards (YMAA) and reflects growing consumer appetite for high‑quality, locally informed design solutions. 16 categories, three special prizes

Projects can be submitted in 16 thematic categories, from residential and hospitality interiors to lighting, furniture, and sustainable design. In addition to gold trophies in each category, three cross‑cutting distinctions will be awarded: “Coup de cœur” of the jury, “Coup de cœur” of the public, and the Prix Archimedia.

The Moroccan Interior Design Awards come at a pivotal moment for Morocco’s growing creative industries. The initiative not only highlights innovation in interior architecture but also positions Moroccan talent prominently in international markets, aligning with the country’s ambition to expand its cultural footprint globally. With categories emphasizing sustainable and culturally informed design, MIDA underscores Morocco’s potential to lead in merging traditional aesthetics with contemporary functionality.

An expert jury chaired by award‑winning architect‑designer Lotfi Sidirahal will evaluate entries for creativity, functionality, and cultural relevance.
