Fez – A leaked listing from Brazil’s video game ratings board has ignited excitement among “Legend of Zelda” fans, revealing that a new title, “Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment,” may launch by the end of  2025.

The game, which is a collaboration between Nintendo and Koei Tecmo, appears poised to debut on the next-generation Nintendo Switch 2 console.

While “Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment” was initially teased in April, many fans assumed a 2026 release. However, the trailer’s mention of a “winter” launch now appears to point to a November or December 2025 release window.

This timeline would strategically align with the high-performing Switch 2’s marketing cycle, offering a major franchise release to sustain hardware momentum through the holiday season.

Fan communities on Reddit have responded with both enthusiasm and speculation. Some users anticipate an imminent Nintendo Direct presentation that would confirm the release and unveil more gameplay footage.

This latest leak builds on previous rumors and strengthens the likelihood of a major announcement from Nintendo in the coming weeks, potentially at an E3-style presentation or a dedicated Nintendo Direct.

“Yeah, that direct is happening soon,” one commenter noted. Others praised the franchise’s musou-style spin-off, with one fan calling the previous title “Age of Calamity” more enjoyable than “Breath of the Wild” or “Tears of the Kingdom.”

Nintendo has yet to issue an official statement. However, the company is riding high on recent success with titles like “Donkey Kong Bananza,” and is expected to capitalize on fan anticipation heading into its next product cycle.

If confirmed, “Age of Imprisonment” would be the latest addition to the ever-expanding Zelda universe, offering players another action-packed entry that bridges narrative gaps within the broader Hyrule mythos.
