Rabat– The Culture Department of the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication announced the opening of applications for the fourth edition of the National Visual Arts Award.
Submissions will be accepted from July 23 to September 15, with the award ceremony scheduled for sometime in December of this year.
Held annually, this ceremony aims to elevate national artistic creation, discover promising young national artistic talents, and provide them with financial support and media coverage.
The National Visual Arts Award includes the following categories:
The national award for young painters
Open to youth aged between 18 and 30 years, the competition takes place in a first round within regional forums organized by the Culture Department of the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, at the level of each regional directorate.
In a second round, the first-place winners from the regional forums for Young Visual Artists compete in the national forum for Young Visual Artists for the ranks of the national award.
The first three place winners from the regional forums for Young Visual Artists are awarded the following ranks:
- First place: MAD 30000
- Second place: MAD 20000
- Third place: MAD 10000
On the other hand, the first three place winners from the national forums for Young Visual Artists are awarded the following ranks:
- First place: MAD 100000
- Second place: MAD 60000
- Third lace: MAD 40000
The national award for artistic photography
Open to candidates aged 18 years and above, and includes the following ranks:
- First place: MAD 60000
- Second place: MAD 50000
- Third place: MAD 40000
The national sculpture award
Open to candidates aged 18 years and above, and includes the following ranks:
- First place: MAD 60000
- Second place: MAD 50000
- Third place: MAD 40000
