Fez ﹘After weeks of uncertainty and online speculation, Egyptian superstar Angham is officially back. The artist’s management has confirmed that her highly anticipated performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall will go ahead as planned on September 23, following her recovery from a serious health scare.
Angham will become the first Egyptian female singer to headline a full concert at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall since the legendary Abdel Halim Hafez took the stage there in 1976.
The show will be conducted by maestro Hany Farhat, with preparations set to begin in the coming days.
Angham returned to Cairo on August 25 after undergoing two delicate surgeries on her pancreas in Germany. During her medical leave, rumors circulated about her condition, with speculation ranging from post-surgery complications to cancer.
Upon her return, her sons, Abdel Rahman and Omar, shared photos of her resting at the family’s seaside home. She is expected to remain there until mid-September before beginning rehearsals.
Despite her temporary withdrawal from public life, Angham has maintained a strong digital presence.
She remains on Billboard Arabia’s “Top 100 Artists List” for the 59th consecutive week, currently ranked 50th after jumping 13 spots this week. Her highest position came in summer 2024, when her album “Tigi Nseeb” debuted at number two.
