Fez — Organizers unveiled the program on Wednesday night at Pathé Californie in Casablanca and confirmed a flat ticket price of MAD 30 per screening.

Organized by the Centre Cinématographique Marocain (CCM) and the Moroccan Chamber Representing Cinema Theaters, the initiative aims to widen access to the big screen and encourage moviegoing in the country’s cultural life.

Over four days, participating venues will screen a mix of Moroccan and international titles.

The launch on Sunday featured the advance screening, cast, and crew of “Sonate Nocturne” by Moroccan director Abdeslam Kelai.

“It is a great emotion for me to open this second edition with ‘Sonate Nocturne,’ a film addressed to young people, their questions, and their relationship to love and emotional life,” Kelai said in remarks carried by MAP at the opening.

Pathé and other exhibitors have reiterated the MAD 30 price point for all sessions during the festival window, aligning with the event’s emphasis on accessibility.  Schedules and local lineups are being published directly by participating theaters on their websites and social channels.

Beyond ticketing, organizers highlighted an inclusion program led by Association Yed Najma that will host screenings for children from underserved communities, offering a first experience in a cinema auditorium for many.

The outreach aspect reinforces the festival’s stated goal to democratize film culture and build new audiences.

The 2025 edition builds on strong interest from last year’s debut by concentrating a dense slate—more than 50 films—in a short window designed to bring students, families, and casual moviegoers back to theaters.

With 20 venues confirmed across the Kingdom and a simple, low price, Fête du Cinéma Morocco positions itself as a renowned,  nationwide celebration of the big-screen experience.
