Rabat – On Monday OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, announced that the company would partner with different applications, including Spotify. The collaboration is part of the launch of AppsSDK, which is an OpenAI new developer toolkit that was unveiled by Altman at the Devday 2025 event, which took place in San Francisco.

AppsSDK is a project that aims to include developers from around the world in the community of OpenAI.

AppsSDK opened the doors for many enterprises, big and small, to collaborate with them. Spotify’s partnership with OpenAI will allow users of the application to connect it with ChatGPT.

As it gathers data from the user’s account, it will be able to come up with a playlist based on the specific description the user gave in the conversation.

AppsSDK also seeks to facilitate coding and automation for new businesses and developers, making tasks faster and easier, which will enable users of AppsSDK to focus on core app features and overall quality.

It will also provide exposure to its users as their applications will be launched for the 100 million users of ChatGPT.

“I hope this will be a big deal for helping developers scale rapidly,” Altman stated on Devday 2025.

Spotify will be one of the other enterprises to enter OpenAI’s AppsSDK. Companies like Booking.com, Canvas.com, Zigglo.com, and Coursera.com are also available on ChatGPT.

“You should expect a huge focus from us on really leaning into enterprises,”  Altman highlighted.

Other apps from major companies like Target will also be available in the foreseeable future.
