Marrakech – On October 16, the “living garden” at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Casablanca hosted the unveiling of 73 nominated projects for the Moroccan Interior Design Awards (MIDA).
Organized by Groupe Archimedia under the supervision of the Ministry of National Territory Planning, Urbanism, Housing, and City Policy, the awards aim to celebrate the creativity and talent of Moroccan interior design.
Architects, designers, and industry professionals gathered at the Beaux-Arts for an evening celebrating contemporary Moroccan design.
The nominated projects reflect a generation focused on quality materials, local craftsmanship, and timely design challenges — balancing comfort, functionality, sustainability, and emotion.
The 2025 selection was judged by a multidisciplinary panel led by international architect and designer Lotfi Sidirahal of Atelier Pod, with honorary juror Sacha Lakic, alongside renowned figures from design, media, and education.
The competition features 16 categories, covering hotel and commercial spaces, wellness, residential design, gastronomy, office layouts, and lighting design.
Special awards for young designers and top graduation projects showcase the emerging talent shaping Morocco’s design scene.
The official award ceremony will take place in December 2025, with professionals, partners, institutions, and media in attendance.
Each category will recognize a winner, with trophies designed by Selma Khamlichi. The “People’s Choice Award” will be open for public voting from October 23.
The Moroccan Interior Design Awards, organized by Groupe Archimedia, build on the Young Moroccan Architecture Awards (YMAA) by expanding recognition to interior design.
MIDA highlights innovation, boldness, and excellence, celebrating talents that define Morocco’s contemporary spaces and ways of living.
