Marrakech – The Institut Français du Maroc is hosting an international celebration of digital cultures. Novembre Numérique offers audiences across the country a unique opportunity to explore new forms of artistic creation and discover emerging talents from Morocco’s digital art scene.
Launched in 2017, this global festival returns with a vibrant 2025 edition combining visual arts, virtual reality, cinema, and live performance, alongside workshops, discussions, and roundtables, the Institute announced in a statement.
Throughout November, 12 branches of the Institut Français du Maroc will showcase one hundred works accessible on mobile and tablet devices, from augmented reality and video games to podcasts and digital sound creations.
Visitors will also experience a virtual reality selection exploring fiction, art, heritage, and documentary themes.
As part of its “Ideas and Debates” series dedicated to artificial intelligence, French author and researcher Alexandre Gefen will visit several Moroccan cities: Tétouan on November 11,, Kenitra on November 12, Casablanca on November 13, and Khouribga on November 14.
The Institute is also presenting three touring shows across its network:
“Concert Samifati & Transe Gnawa Express:” A collaboration between the electro-visual Nantes-based duo Samifati and Essaouira’s Gnawa musicians, creating an immersive and festive performance staged in Oujda, Tétouan, Casablanca, Kénitra, Marrakech, and Essaouira.
“La Marge” by Pierrot Corpel: A multidisciplinary show blending theater, performance, and club culture, continuing Corpel’s exploration of rave movement, scheduled in Agadir, El Jadida, Tangier, and Rabat.
“AI Dream” by Moulla: A groundbreaking performance merging illusion, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality, transforming technology into a creative partner, presented in Casablanca, Oujda, Rabat, Meknès, Benguerir, and Khouribga.
This year, Novembre Numérique extends “beyond the walls,” collaborating with key cultural partners to support major Moroccan digital events, including:
- The International Video Art Festival (FIAV) in Casablanca (November 10–15)
- Visa For Music in Rabat (November 19–22)
- The 2nd Digital Art Festival (FAN) at UM6P in Benguerir (November 24–25) and at 1337/UM6P in Khouribga (November 26–30)
- The 30th Rabat International Author Film Festival (November 8–14).
