Fez — At Fairmont Taghazout Bay, a luxury resort hotel on the coast of Agadir, men’s style is getting a full evening to itself over this weekend.
Tonight the resort’s hidden Nola Speakeasy Bar is hosting “Gentlemen’s Night,” a one-off event built around Sidi Tailoring, the Marrakech-based house known for sharp suits and custom pieces worn on red carpets across Morocco.
A speakeasy evening built around style
Set in the discreet atmosphere of Nola, the night is designed as a small-format, ticketed event with around thirty guests. On the program: a masterclass on the codes of modern masculine elegance, a guided tasting of The Macallan malt, a cigar initiation with Davidoff Grand Cru, and a live set by the Nola Collective jazz band.
The idea is to bring together tailoring, spirits, and music in one place and treat them as parts of the same ritual, with time to talk fabrics, cuts, and how to build a wardrobe that actually fits a person’s life.
From Marrakech ateliers to red carpets
At the center of the night is Sidi Tailoring founder Chakir Belhaloumi. Based in Marrakech, his atelier has been making made-to-measure suits since 2013 for clients from sport, film, and diplomacy. His work has dressed guests and personalities around the Marrakech International Film Festival and, according to the house, has also reached major international names such as Brad Pitt.
For “Gentlemen’s Night,” Belhaloumi is bringing a selection of business suits, tuxedos, evening jackets, and tailored separates. Cuts are classic but updated, with fabrics in wool, cashmere, silk, and velvet sourced from high-end mills in Europe.
The masterclass will walk guests through basics that often get skipped: how a shoulder should sit, how to read fabric weight, what makes a jacket versatile, and which details actually matter.
A weekend of private fittings
The collaboration goes beyond a single evening. From December 12 to 14, Sidi Tailoring is setting up a private showroom inside Fairmont Taghazout Bay for one-on-one consultations. Guests can book an appointment, choose fabrics, take measurements, and get styling advice directly from the team.
For the resort, the partnership fits into a wider push to position Taghazout Bay as more than a surf and golf destination, adding high-end cultural and lifestyle events to the calendar. For Sidi Tailoring, it is a chance to meet a coastal clientele while showing that Moroccan menswear can sit comfortably next to international luxury brands.
“Gentlemen’s Night” may last only a few hours, but the suits ordered and the relationships started there are meant to stay in the wardrobe — and in the calendar of Fairmont Taghazout Bay — for a long time.
