Marrakech – K-pop powerhouse BLACKPINK announced on Wednesday that its highly anticipated new album will be released in just a few weeks, officially setting the date for February 27.

Titled “Deadline,” the project was unveiled through the group’s social media accounts.

According to the Instagram post, the release will be a mini-album, though no further details about the tracklist or concept have been revealed so far.

The album shares its name with BLACKPINK’s 2025 Deadline World Tour, which kicked off on July 5-6 at the Goyang Sports Complex in South Korea.

The shows marked the quartet’s first onstage reunion as a full group since 2023, bringing Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa back together after an extended hiatus.

Jennie appeared in HBO’s The Idol, while Lisa joined the cast of The White Lotus for its third season, further expanding the group’s global footprint beyond music.

Ahead of the tour, BLACKPINK reunited in the studio to record the high-energy single “Jump,” which was officially released on July 11.

The track debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated July 28, the group’s highest entry on the chart, and remained on the ranking for 10 consecutive weeks, reaffirming their commercial power.

In Billboard’s January 2025 cover story, Jennie reflected on missing the other members during their time apart and hinted at a new chapter for the group.

“I think we’re going to present the strongest version of ourselves anyone has ever seen,” she said, a statement that now appears to set the tone for Deadline and BLACKPINK’s next global era.
