Fez — The Candlelight concert series, led by the live-entertainment platform Fever, has announced the launch of a new slate of performances dedicated to Arabic music across several Moroccan cities, marking a notable expansion of its local cultural programming.

According to a press release from the organizers, the initiative will roll out in Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech, Rabat, and Tangier, with performances staged in emblematic sites and hotels. The concerts blend classical arrangements, contemporary interpretations, and landmark works from the Arabic repertoire, all presented in Candlelight’s signature candle-lit setting.

Arabic repertoire at the heart of the program

A central focus of the Moroccan edition is a renewed emphasis on Arabic music. The series includes tributes to legendary figures such as Fairuz and Amr Diab, alongside a themed program titled “A Century of Iconic Arabic Music.”

This musical journey traces the evolution of Arabic song through widely recognized works including “Lamma Bada Yatathanna,” “Alef Leila W Leila,” “Enta Omri,” “Nassam Alayna El Hawa,” “Tamally Maak,” and “Ya Rayah,” offering audiences a curated overview of a century of influential compositions.

Heritage settings across Moroccan cities

The concerts are scheduled to take place over multiple dates in carefully selected venues that combine architectural character with an intimate atmosphere.

In Casablanca, performances will be hosted at the Hilton Garden Inn Casablanca Sud and the Four Seasons Hotel. Agadir’s program is set at the Hyatt Regency Taghazout, while Marrakech will welcome Candlelight at the Grand Mogador.

In Rabat, the series will take place at the historic Chellah, adding an archaeological and symbolic dimension to the performances. Tangier’s concerts are planned at the Hilton Tanger Al Houara Resort & Spa.

Each event is designed to offer a close, immersive experience, with live musicians performing by candlelight to enhance the sensory connection between music, space, and audience.

Expanding access to live music

Already present in hundreds of cities worldwide, Candlelight aims, according to the organizers, to democratize access to live music and attract audiences who may be attending a classical or curated concert for the first time. The Moroccan expansion continues this approach by highlighting local musicians while adapting global formats to regional cultural heritage.

The announced programming also includes, particularly in Casablanca, tributes to Coldplay alongside Arabic music concerts and a performance of Antonio Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons.” In Agadir and Marrakech, the focus remains on Fairuz and “A Century of Iconic Arabic Music,” while Rabat’s Chellah will host a dedicated homage to Fairuz.

Tickets for all performances are available through Fever’s website and mobile application, as Candlelight continues to position Morocco as a key destination in its global cultural circuit.
