Rabat – Essaouira will once again become a meeting point of cultures, as it hosts the 4th edition of “The Soul of Cultures” International Festival from February 14-17.

Centered on the theme “Hospitality, Coexistence, and Confluence: A Mediterranean Ethic”, this year’s gathering highlights the shared values of spirituality, music, thought and hospitality.

This event is organized by the Association Young People of Authentic Art for Samaâ and Heritage of the Zaouïa Kadiria of Essaouira, the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, and the Machado Foundation of Seville.

Since its launch, the festival has centered on dialogue, exchange, and creative encounters, using conversations, performances, and shared experiences to connect communities across borders.

Following the 3th edition focused on “Our Shared Spiritualities: Between Ethics and Aesthetics” in Essaouira, which brought together prestigious thinkers, artists, and cultural figures last year, this one is built around  Mediterranean connections and collaborative cultural initiatives.

Over four days, the City of the Trade Winds, will host a vibrant program, including ritual performances, concerts, and guided walks through the medina.

Visitors can discover traditional crafts such as metalwork, ceramics, calligraphy, and sculpture, alongside music and storytelling that reflect generations of shared heritage. The schedule also includes shared conversations and lectures for listening and reflection.

Furthermore, organizers aim to transform that dialogue into concrete action.

These plans include strengthening cultural routes between Morocco and Andalusia, mapping shared heritage landscapes, creating training spaces for young people, and encouraging collaboration between artisans, musicians, and cultural communities.
