Fez — The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has been recognized at the highest level,  as Morocco secures the title of “Partner Destination of the Year 2025” from the Syndicat des Entreprises du Tour Operating (SETO).

The distinction was presented in Paris to Achraf Fayda, Director General of ONMT, acknowledging the office’s central role in strengthening ties with French tourism stakeholders.

According to official figures, Morocco welcomed 5.76 million French tourists in 2025, marking an 11% increase compared to the previous year.

French visitors represented nearly 30% of total tourist arrivals last year, emphasizing the depth of the market and Morocco’s continued competitiveness as a preferred holiday destination.

Industry observers credit this performance to ONMT’s strategic direction, which combines commercial proximity, targeted marketing campaigns, critical support to travel professionals, reinforcement of air connectivity, and promotion of diverse regional destinations across Morocco.

This approach has enabled the country to maintain visibility in a highly competitive Mediterranean market.

Building on this recognition, Morocco will host the SETO Annual Forum in Tetouan from March 25 to 27, which will bring together industry professionals, executives, and experts to discuss evolving travel trends, partnership opportunities, and joint development projects.

The award, along with the upcoming forum, reflects sustained confidence from French tourism stakeholders, positioning Morocco as a stable, strategic, and long-term partner in the European travel market.
