Casablanca – Boudchart returns to Casablanca on April 18. The participatory concert led by Moroccan conductor Amine Boudchar is set to bring its energy back to the city, where audiences do more than attend. They sing.
Behind the project is Moroccan conductor Amine Boudchar. Before launching Boudchart, he wasn’t following a typical music path. He studied engineering first, then chose to dedicate himself fully to music
The concept officially started in 2022, with a first concert in Paris in June. The idea was simple but bold. What if the audience stopped being just spectators and become the choir?
That’s where the phrase “La chorale, c’est vous” comes in (which translates to: The choir is you.) During the concert, Boudchar conducts the crowd. The orchestra plays, but the real sound comes from thousands of voices singing together. Moroccan songs, Arabic classics, familiar melodies, songs people already know by heart.
Since then, the project has grown quickly. Concerts followed in Morocco and abroad. What started as an idea tested in Paris turned into packed venues, festival appearances, and crowds that already know what to expect before they even walk in. They are not coming to watch. They are coming to take part.
For Casablanca, this return carries a different weight. It has been a while since he last performed in the city, and fans have been asking for a new date.
On social media, many have already shared their excitement about finally having Boudchart back in Casa. The anticipation feels real.
Boudchar announced the news through a video on his social platforms, and fans quickly filled the comments. One Instagram user wrote, “We will be there of course, we are waiting impatiently.”
Mark your calendars for April 18. Tickets are coming soon, so keep an eye out.
