Rabat – Moroccan designer Sarah Ouhaddou has been selected as one of the 12 finalists for the 2026 Her Art Prize, a global award dedicated to women artists.

The prize will be presented during the 28th edition of Art Paris, taking place from April 9-12 at the Grand Palais in Paris.

The winner will be announced on April 11 during the fair, receiving a €30,000 (MAD 330,000) grant along with an international communication campaign led by Marie Claire and Art Paris.

Recognized as an internationally respected distinction, the Her Art Prize celebrates “a singular female journey and a powerful body of work that pushes boundaries,” according to organizers.

This year’s selection highlights a diverse and intergenerational group of artists, whose practices explore themes such as ecology, the living world, identity, and ancestral memory.

Born in 1986, Ouhaddou has built a strong international presence through exhibitions that bridge contemporary art and traditional craftsmanship.

She previously gained recognition in 2016 as one of three winners of the “Wings of Africa” competition, launched by Royal Air Maroc, where she contributed to the visual design of the airline’s aircraft.

Launched in 2025, the Her Art Prize is a collaborative initiative between Art Paris, Marie Claire, and the French jewelry house Boucheron.

The jury, chaired by French actress and illustrator Louise Bourgoin, brings together leading figures from the worlds of art and culture.
