Rabat – The BRIT Awards 2026, held for the first time in Manchester at the Co-op Live arena on Saturday, showcased a night of major wins, historic moments, and rising stars. 

Olivia Dean emerged as the evening’s standout, claiming four key awards and cementing her place as one of the UK’s most prominent pop voices.

Dean won Album of the Year for her sophomore release “The Art of Loving,” beating strong contenders including Dave, Lily Allen, Sam Fender, and Wolf Alice. 

She also took home Artist of the Year, Best Pop Artist, and Song of the Year for “Rein Me In,” her collaboration with Sam Fender. 

Dean was nominated twice in the Song of the Year category, also for her solo track “Man I Need.”

Sam Fender continued his winning streak, securing Best Rock/Alternative Artist for the second consecutive year and the third time in five years. 

He also shared in Dean’s Song of the Year win.

Newcomer Lola Young marked a milestone in her career by winning Best New Artist, her first BRIT award, signaling her rising profile in the UK music scene.

The evening also made history internationally. Spanish singer Rosalía became the first Spanish-speaking artist to win Best International Artist, surpassing global stars like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Chappell Roan. 

Meanwhile, Rosé, of K-pop sensation Blackpink, took home Best International Song for “APT.,” her first-ever BRIT win and a historic moment for K-pop on the global stage.
