Rabat – Casablanca is hosting the cultural and artistic event “Ramadaniyate WeCasablanca” in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan.
Conceived as part of a broader cultural strategy for the holy month, the initiative is implemented by Casablanca Animation and events, the city’s local development company dedicated to cultural programming and urban animation.
The event is held in collaboration with the Casablanca City Council, the Regional Directorate of Culture of Casablanca-Settat, and the Local Scientific Council of the Casablanca-Anfa Prefecture. These partners support a diverse program that brings together artistic workshops, spiritual evenings, and cultural gatherings throughout the month.
The program is designed to turn Ramadan evenings into moments of reflection, creativity, and collective experience. Beyond entertainment, the initiative places culture at the heart of public life. It encourages encounters between visitors through shared artistic and spiritual expressions.
One of the main venues of the event is the Sacred Heart Cathedral, which hosts nightly artistic and spiritual gatherings starting at 9:30 p.m. These evenings bring together Moroccan performers for sessions of “samaâ,” “madih,” “inchad,” and traditional tarab. The setting offers an immersive experience rooted in Morocco’s spiritual and musical heritage.
Alongside these night programs, daytime activities focus on creativity and transmission. Every weekend from 11 a.m., the Casablanca School of Fine Arts opens its doors to workshops in Arabic calligraphy, ceramics, and drawing. These sessions are designed to nurture artistic expression while encouraging intergenerational exchange.
Now established as a key cultural fixture of Ramadan, Ramadaniyate WeCasablanca 2026 invites the public to rediscover the city after ftour. All activities are free and open to the public.
