Lugano – Actors Anne Hathaway and Paul Mescal will join a lineup of prominent film stars presenting awards at the 2026 Oscars, the 98th edition of the Academy Awards organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The ceremony, which celebrates the best achievements in filmmaking from the past year, will take place on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
Presenters will take the stage throughout the evening to introduce award categories and honor the year’s achievements in filmmaking.

The 98th Academy Awards will honor films released in 2025.The ceremony will air live on ABC and stream simultaneously on Hulu, with additional access available through services such as Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, AT&T TV, and FuboTV.
Comedian Conan O’Brien will host the Oscars for the second consecutive year, following a well-received debut in 2025.
This year’s ceremony will also introduce a new “Best Casting” category, expanding the awards lineup and recognizing the work of casting professionals in filmmaking.
Standout nominations
The nominees for the 2026 Oscars were announced in January, recognizing achievements across 24 categories presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Among the leading contenders is Ryan Coogler’s film “Sinners,” which received a record-breaking 16 nominations, the highest number ever earned by a single film in Oscars history.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” also emerged as a major contender with 13 nominations, including Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio, Best Supporting Actor for Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn, and Best Supporting Actress for Golden Globe winner Teyana Taylor.
Another notable nominee is “Hamnet,” directed by Chloé Zhao and starring newly announced presenter Paul Mescal.
The film earned eight nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Jessie Buckley.
Several performers are also drawing attention with their first Academy Award nominations, including Michael B. Jordan, Elle Fanning, Jacob Elordi, and Teyana Taylor.
