Rabat – On March 10, Myriem Himmich Gallery will open a new collective exhibition titled “Where Light Emerges,” highlighting artistic talent while promoting inclusion within Morocco’s cultural landscape.
Set to open at 9 p.m., the exhibition marks the second edition of the gallery’s “Social and Humanitarian Art” section, an initiative launched in 2025 to recognize and support artists living with disabilities.
The project aims to create greater visibility for artists whose work often remains underrepresented in the mainstream art scene.
The exhibition brings together three artists, Alexandra Pronina, Hiba Tazzit, and Mohamed Nassim Gryech, whose artistic sensitivity and creative voices have been recognized by several institutions, including the hosting gallery.
Organized in partnership with Tatmin Association and Association YANES, the exhibition also carries a charitable component.
10% of the proceeds from artwork sales will be donated to Association YANES, which supports the inclusion of young people with disabilities through artistic, cultural, and educational programs.
The opening evening will feature a live musical performance by Yassine El Chehab, alongside a Sama (Sufi dance) performance by Abderrazzak El Mechati, creating an immersive aristic moment where music, movement, and visual art intersect.
The initiative is supported by several partners and sponsors, including Morocco World News, Chef Baya, Bivouac Coffee Roasters, Soukaina Mahassine, Souhail Artwork, as well as the participating partner associations.
Through this exhibition, the gallery continues to emphasize art as a tool for social dialogue, inclusion, and transformation, reinforcing the role of cultural spaces in supporting diverse voices within Morocco’s contemporary art scene.
