Lugano – Morocco ranks among Cosmopolitan Italia’s top five spring travel destinations.

The feature highlights destinations that offer ideal spring climates, rich cultural experiences, and diverse landscapes, placing Morocco alongside other sought-after international holiday spots.

According to the Italian lifestyle magazine, Morocco stands out as a destination that blends culture, adventure, and natural beauty, making it particularly appealing during the spring months when temperatures are mild and landscapes are at their most vibrant.

The magazine emphasizes that the country offers a wide range of experiences within a single journey, particularly through its historic cities.

Destinations such as Marrakech, Fez, Meknes, and Rabat are highlighted for their lively medinas, traditional markets, and architectural heritage.

Beyond its urban cities, Morocco’s landscapes add another dimension to the travel experience.

Visitors can journey from the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert, passing through palm-filled valleys, historic kasbahs, and traditional Amazigh villages.

The feature also points to Morocco’s diverse landscapes, from lush oases to vast desert dunes, presenting the country as an ideal destination for travelers seeking both adventure and cultural immersion.

Growing international recognition

This recognition by Cosmopolitan Italia reflects Morocco’s increasing visibility in international tourism media, particularly in European markets.

Morocco’s tourism appeal has also been recognized by major international platforms.

Last month, National Geographic named the country among the world’s top travel destinations for March, citing its pleasant spring climate and the unique cultural atmosphere during the holy month of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, Marrakech ranked seventh worldwide in TripAdvisor’s list of top destinations for 2026, highlighting the city’s continued popularity among global travelers.

TripAdvisor’s rankings also highlighted Morocco’s growing coastal tourism, with the Souss-Massa destination of Taghazout placed 13th in the platform’s “Top Trending Destinations for 2026.”

Morocco’s culinary heritage has also attracted global interest. In a recent feature, National Geographic highlighted six culinary experiences across the country, including cooking workshops in the High Atlas and street food explorations in Marrakech, highlighting the rich flavors and cultural traditions that shape Moroccan cuisine.

Together, these recognitions underline Morocco’s rising status as a top international travel destination, particularly during the spring season when its cultural heritage, landscapes, and climate offer visitors a rich and immersive experience.
