Rabat – Forbes has revealed its annual list of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood for 2025, highlighting 20 film stars who generated the biggest earnings over the past year.
The ranking takes into account income from acting, producing, and directing, in addition to advertising deals and commercial partnerships.
According to Forbes, the combined earnings of the top 20 actors reached about $590 million (MAD 5.9 billion), a figure 20% lower than the previous year, when total earnings climbed to $730 million (MAD 7.3 billion).
Adam Sandler leads the ranking
At the top of the list is Adam Sandler, who earned $48 million (MAD 480 million) during the past fiscal year.
He starred in and produced the highly anticipated sequel “Happy Gilmore 2,” a follow-up to the popular 1996 sports comedy.
Sandler also appeared in the film “Jay Kelly” alongside George Clooney, who ranked thirteenth on the list.
In the film, Sandler plays Ron Sukenick, the loyal manager of movie star Jay Kelly, portrayed by Clooney.
His role in the Netflix production earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globe Awards.
Despite topping the 2025 ranking, Sandler’s earnings are still far below last year’s leader, Dwayne Johnson, who made $88 million (MAD 880 million) in 2024.
