Rabat – If you’re a fan of spicy, cheesy, and ridiculously tasty dishes, this Buldak recipe is your new obsession.

Known as Korean Fire Chicken, Buldak is famous for its fiery heat, but when you add gooey mozzarella cheese, it transforms into a melty, indulgent comfort food that’s perfect for home cooks.

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp gochujang (or any spicy sauce you have)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Sliced green onions
  • Sesame seeds

How to make it

In a bowl, combine chicken with gochujang, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, sesame oil, and black pepper.

Let it sit for 10-15 minutes. This short marinade gives the chicken a punch of flavor without slowing you down.

You can either pan-fry the chicken on medium-high heat until it’s golden and fully cooked, or bake it in the oven for a hands-off option.

The aroma of spicy Korean flavors will fill your kitchen and make it impossible to wait.

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the hot chicken.

Cover the pan or dish for 2-3 minutes so the cheese melts into a gooey, stretchy layer that perfectly balances the spice.

Top with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Serve with steamed rice, bread, or even on its own.
