Fez — Jazzablanca’s 19th edition is putting its “Scène 21” back at the heart of the festival’s identity, unveiling ten nights of performances scheduled for July 2–11 at Anfa Park in Casablanca.

Designed as the festival’s more intimate musical cocoon, “Scène 21” is expected to host two concerts per night, building a progressive journey in sound before audiences move toward the bigger “Casa Anfa” experience.

A jazz-first lineup with global range

The 2026 “Scène 21” program brings together major international names and Morocco-linked projects across contemporary jazz. The lineup includes London jazz trailblazer Shabaka (July 8), Franco-Moroccan artist Daoud (July 6), and Japanese piano virtuoso Hiromi (also announced as part of the stage’s headline mix).

The stage also welcomes Brian Jackson (July 4), celebrated for his jazz-funk legacy and long collaboration with Gil Scott-Heron, alongside the American soul acts Thee Sacred Souls (July 8) and Madison McFerrin (July 11).

Moroccan projects and high-energy crossovers

Jazzablanca is also highlighting Moroccan-driven fusions that reflect Casablanca’s evolving sound. Moroccan rapper Small X is slated to present a live project with Paris jazz collective AMG and Moroccan beatmaker Saib (July 7), while Hind Ennaira & Omary will bring their “Gnawatronic” project mixing Gnaoua with electronic textures (July 11).

Elsewhere in the week, the Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra (July 7) adds Balkan-Mediterranean color, while Ami Taf Ra (July 10) expands the palette with a set positioned between soul, jazz, and contemporary currents.

A new rhythm for Jazzablanca 2026

This year’s edition also reflects a broader format shift: Jazzablanca will now run four concerts per night at Anfa Park, spread across its stages, creating a faster nightly rhythm over the ten-day run.
