Fez — Morocco’s “Nostalgia” performances are expected to return to Bab Makina in Fez later this week, with organizers announcing a new run scheduled for March 25–29 at one of the city’s most emblematic historic venues.
The “Nostalgia” format has been presented in multiple Moroccan cities in recent years as a large-scale, open-air experience blending theatrical scenes, music, costumes, and staged tableaux that recreate moments from Morocco’s collective memory.
In Fez, previous editions used Bab Makina as a dramatic backdrop for re-enactments tied to the city’s dynastic and cultural legacy, drawing audiences into a moving walk through eras, symbols, and rituals.
What audiences can expect at Bab Makina
While each city run adapts to its setting, the Fez edition has been promoted as a sequence of staged scenes supported by sound and visual effects, with a narrative structure designed to “travel” through key moments in Moroccan history.
Public communications around the Bab Makina program have also highlighted the experience beyond the stage itself, including period-inspired ambiance and costumed immersion that turns the esplanade into a living set rather than a conventional seated show.
Showtimes and how to attend
In past Bab Makina runs, the program was organized around three nightly show slots. Official posts for the Fez edition previously listed start times at 8 p.m., 9 p.m., and 10 p.m.
For the late-March 2026 return, organizers are directing audiences to reserve in advance via the official platform, as seats are typically released in limited batches and taken quickly once booking opens.
If you are interested in attending during the March 25–29 dates, reserving early is the safest bet, especially for weekend nights when demand is usually highest.
